I became interested in making jewellery at the age of about 14 when I attended a basic beaded jewellery course through the WEA. I moved to Sydney after finishing the HSC, to complete an Associate Diploma in Jewellery Design. I graduated in 1996 from The Sydney Institute of Technology, Design Centre. While studying I had access to amazing practitioners, as well as an expansive workshop where we were able to experiment and develop practical skills.

Since then I have been designing and manufacturing jewellery from my workshop at home. I work independently, which enables me to have total creative control over my designs.
I have also studied furniture design, foundry metal casting and welding to diversify into larger pieces.

As a designer and maker of contemporary jewellery and objects, I choose not to mass-produce any of my pieces. I like to make pieces that are affordable to most people by working with a particular style or theme. This enables me to make a series of pieces that are still individually made, therefore having no replica of any one piece.
