born 1966, Sydney, NSW
lives in Byron Bay, NSW

I came to art through a passion for sustainability and the environment.  I travelled various paths before I fell into art as a career.  These included circus work, truck driving, floristry, ceramics, and a carpentry/joinery apprenticeship.

I discovered a passion for basketry in 1994. It was a skill that allowed me to use discarded natural materials to make utilitarian objects.  After a couple of small successes with exhibitions in basketry I enrolled to study drawing and then fine arts.

My work shifted from basketry (and purely three-dimensional objects) to non-functional two-dimensional and three-dimensional wall pieces.

I have had 10 solo shows and have been included in various nationally recognised exhibitions including Sculpture by the Sea, the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award, Conrad Jupiters, Woollahra Small Sculpture Show, the Waterhouse Natural History Prize.

A large percentage of my income is generated through commissioned pieces, generally for private clients.
